It takes about 50 minutes by hotel shuttle bus from Fukushima station to get to Noji Onsen Hotel, a hot spring ryokan located at an altitude of 1,200 meters.
After checking in and putting my luggage in the room, the first thing I did was grab a towel and head straight to the outdoor hot spring bath "Kimen no Yu," which I couldn't use last time because of the rain.
Today, there was not a cloud in the sky and the contrast between the deep blue sky and the milky greenish-white water was beautiful. The temperature was just right. This was truly a moment of bliss.
At the Noji Onsen Hotel, in addition to the open-air bath "Kimen no yu," there are three indoor baths: 'Tsurugi no yu, Senju no yu, and Tengu no yu'. Kimen no yu, Senju no yu, and Tengu no Yu can be used by men and women alternately every three hours.
Among the three indoor baths, my favorite is 'Senju no Yu', where three hot tubs with different water temperature, from hot to lukewarm, are lined up.
